In 2010 we opened and featured about two dozen artists. Now, we have over 100 artisans who offer their creative wares in our shop!
Hartsville Hollow is unlike other places -- every item in our shop is unique. You'll find one of a kind creations for your home and for gift giving. The variety of items is astounding! We love what these artisans create and know you will too.
We are always ready to welcome more creative folks who may want to sell their items through our shop. Our website gives you a sampling of what is in our shop, but stop in and see for your self. You will be glad you did. There really is no other place quite like Hartsville Hollow.
Hartsville Hollow has the creative offerings of over 100 extremely talented artists – including Shelia, Molly and Eileen, – from all over the Central New York region. We always welcome new artisans who may wish to sell their work at our shop.
Hartsville Hollow started out as a dream of 3 sisters interested in supporting and promoting the work of local artists and craftsman. The sisters, Shelia Richer, Molly Gray and Eileen Ryan, all retired or semi-retired professionals had long explored possible locations which would work as a special space for their enterprise.
Built as a one room schoolhouse in 1850, the building is made of locally quarried limestone and is the only stone schoolhouse left standing in the town of Manlius. At the time of its construction, Mycenae was known as Hartsville, a tiny hamlet supporting a store, a tannery and of course, the school. Since it was the only public building in ...
